As society changes and especially with new opportunities in living and career planing for women, the prolonged life expectation and environmental changes lead to a growing number of couples whose desire for childen cannot be easily fulfilled. Approximately 10 to 15 percent of couples in the reproductive age suffer from unwanted childlessness.

Focus of Treatment:

Desire for Children
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) (assisted reproduction); in-vitro-fertilisation; intracytoplasmic sperm injection; microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration

Hormone Disorders
Hormone imbalances (loss of hair, acne, increased body hair distribution, disturbances of the menstruation and monthly cycle)

Maintenance of Fertility (Desire for children following successful oncologic therapy)
Drug assisted/driven therapeutic strategy to protect the ovaries during chemotherapy;
cryo-conservation (freezing of fertilised ova, of unfertilised eggs, of ovary tissue); surgical
transposition/dislocation of the ovaries during radiation; cyro-conservation in men
(semen storage, sperm from testicular tissue)

Repeated Miscarriage
Therapy of thrombophilia; progesterone therapy; immune-modulation; metformin; therapy of idiopathic repetitive abortion
