„Our division of trauma surgery is part of the department for orthopaedics and trauma surgery at the University Hospital Bonn. Trauma surgery is a surgical speciality involved in the invasive treatment of physical injuries, typically in an emergency setting (organ system and musculoskeletal system). Injuries primarily affecting the musculoskeletal system (the bony skeleton and muscles, ligaments and tendons), but also the brain and the spinal cord.“

Polytrauma; multiple trauma injuries


Fractures of Joints/ Joint Injuries
Shoulder; elbow; hand; hip; ankle or foot


Complicated Bone Fractures
Muscular system; blood vessels; peripheral nerves or skin
Reconstructive Surgery
Restoration of joints; bones and surrounding soft tissue


Corrections of Deformities
Axis deviation; elongation
